Bullers Wood is a highly successful comprehensive 11 – 19 girls’ school with boys admitted to the sixth form. We are a significantly oversubscribed, high-achieving school with High Performing Specialist School status (HPSS) and three specialisms – Language College, Vocational and Raising Achievement Partnership Program (RAPP).

In addition, Bullers Wood holds various awards such as Artsmark Gold, Sportsmark and the Schools’ Curriculum Award, and was awarded Beacon School status in 2000. It was last fully inspected by Ofsted in May 2011 who commented that “Bullers Wood School is an outstanding school, with an outstanding sixth form” and that “It is led by a close-knit, ambitious senior team that is determined to improve outcomes for students”

It received an ‘outstanding’ mention in HMCI’s 1989–99 and 2004–05 annual reports following OFSTED inspections.

In the report confirming our continued status as an Investor in People, the assessor commented “Bullers Wood comes across as a school that is inspirational and welcoming, inclusive, progressive and developmental” .

The school achieves consistently excellent results and features regularly in both the A level and GCSE league tables of the top comprehensive schools in the country. In addition we offer a very wide variety of enrichment activities to students, both within and across curriculum areas. The School is a founder member of the highly regarded Bromley Schools’ Centred Initial Teacher Training Collegiate. We also train teachers through the Graduate Teacher Programme.
