As part of our whole-school drive to inspire students to extend their literacy skills and to enhance our culture of reading for pleasure at school, we are hosting an Usborne Book Fair in our library. Our annual Careers and Higher Education Evening was superbly supported by our Year 12 students, their parents and carers. We had some superb speakers covering subjects such as “Life at University”, “Alternative Careers without going to University” and the thorny subject of “Student Finance”.

On Saturday 2nd March, 13 Year 9 students attended Bromley Magistrates’ Court for the local heats of The Citizenship Foundation’s annual Mock Magistrates’ Trial. The team from Bullers Wood competed against and beat both Wilsons Grammar School and Nonsuch Grammar, winning the event and will now proceed to the regional heats in London in May. The Friends Of Bullers Wood are now collecting any unwanted plastic writing utensils or mobile phones. These items will be sent off to TerraCycle for recycling. In exchange the company will be giving us money for the School Fund.
